Network Consulting Engineer (CDN Engineer)

I am urgently seeking a Network Consulting Engineer to join a new position in Poland with one of the worlds leading Vendors. The ideal candidate is a creative problem solver, comfortable with challenging the status quo and rapidly responding to escalated issues. With a seasoned mix of broad networking knowledge and specific area expertise, as well as excellent Customer Relationship Management (CRM) skills, you're well positioned to become a trusted advisor capable of building solid, long-term relationships with customers.

Academic and professional background:
- 4 years or more university diploma (BSc, MSc, PhD) in Computing Science, or any specialist track such as Networking or Telecommunications
- Service Provider background: 3 to 5 years of professional experience working in a technical role for a Cisco partner, a telecoms operator, an Internet service provider or a broadcaster/content provider.

Qualifying roles include any support or engineering role.

The engineer should be proficient at a minimum with the following technologies:

- Content Delivery Networks (CDN) either as general knowledge, or specifically having worked on some implementations, free (Squid) or commercial (WCCP), even from competitors (Akamai, Level3, Limewire) (required)
- Strong understanding of HTTP, with ability to demonstrate programming-level knowledge of the protocol (required)
- MPEG and Video theory ie the candidate is able to tell me what type of video codecs and container formats exist on the market, and what are their respective benefits (required)
- Strong Linux experience, with RHEL preferred (required)
- CCNA-level networking (required), CCNP/CCDP is a plus
