Network Centre Operators

Projektbeschreibung
Mutliple Network Control Centre Operators are needed for initial 3 month contracts with a global IT company in southern Italy. The successful network specialist will have hands-on experience of HP Openview (HPOV), Network Node Manager (NNM), HP Systems Insight Manager (HP SIM) or similar network monitoring tools and have fluent English language skills.
Network Administrator/NCC operator duties:
. Provide network and application monitoring services
. Handle service requests and monitor all incident details related to voice and data network, Servers and application
. Monitor and ensure the proper data flow for email services
. Make initial assessments of user requests, detect possible problems and escalate to other levels of support if needed
. Monitor Internet connectivity to the local providers and related agencies or locations
. Maintain NCC activity logs
. Prepare shift reports on incidents
. Work on a shift rota
Network Support experience required:
. Basic knowledge of satellite communication and voice technologies
. ITIL Service Management knowledge
. Telephone support experience in a help desk environment and network/data centres
. Experience with HPOV NNM, HP SIM or similar network monitoring tools
. Knowledge of Cisco Routers and Switches, and LAN/WAN, Storage Area Networks and EMC solutions, Lotus Notes administration, replication and email routing
. Familiarity with Operating Systems (Windows 2000/2003, Linux, Unix)
. General IT knowledge, preferably with diploma but at least secondary school education
. English language skills are required
