Network Assurance Lead

Background
Our Central Governement client require a Network Assurance Lead on a contract basis until December based in Warrington. Our client department and its IT suppliers will be upgrading much of the existing Desktop IT infrastructure. This will involve updating our standard desktop software packages eg Microsoft Outlook and Office, exchanging existing desktop and laptop hardware for more appropriate and efficient devices, moving from local to centralised data stores and increasing the capacity of the network. Increasing network capacity The work to increase network capacity to enable us to effectively upgrade our infrastructure and change the way our data is stored is taking place largely behind the scenes.

Main Duties/Responsibilities
* Technical assurance of BT testing of telephony applications and associated integration with non-telephony applications and hardware. Technical review, control and assurance of Network expansions including Bearer Installs and CDR upgrades. Management of suppliers to provide appropriate Project Management & leadership for their projects and work strands within Core Infrastructure and Network Optimisation. Management and technical assurance of network related commercial vehicles and supplier proposals, in support of WTP deliverables. Management and reporting against WTP spend in relation to Network elements of WTP Programme. Resolve issues, manage dependencies and risks relating to network and telephony implementation and operation. Demonstrate lessons learned through the life of the project and ensure effective skills transfer to staff. Progress reports and executive updates

Outputs/Deliverables to be achieved
* Assured BT deployed applications integrated test reports. Assured supplier proposals, challenged to achieve value for money. Reporting against commercial vehicles and spend against forecast. Implementing Service Definitions and Descriptions. Progress reports and executive updates. Supplier management delivery strategy

Skills/Experience Required
A wealth of experience working in complex IT environments. Specialist within the area of the following technologies. WAN & LAN Technologies. Telephony services Can demonstrate a successful track record. Working in a Transformation Delivery role within the telecommunications industry and associated services. Providing insight to and influencing senior stakeholders. Working within a team environment, with a mixture of internal and external resources. Experience of managing suppliers. Excellent negotiation and interpersonal skills
