Whitehall Resources are currently looking for a for a project with one of our clients based in Oslo, Norway.
Start date: 09/10/2017
End Date: 30/09/2018
Location: Oslo, Norway
Description:
The main objective of the role is to ensure that the Network and related data communication systems, WAN, LAN, Wireless services and applications are running optimally and smoothly for our client's key systems at all stages of the service life cycle.
In addition, you will provide network architecture, design requirements and test plans for new and existing services.
Key responsibilities and tasks:
- Analyse business requirements to develop network solutions and framework
- Design, test and inspect network data communications for capacity, performance & baseline trending
- Develop network technology roadmaps which supports the Business Technology Enterprise
- Have design authority over all network technology based projects
- Working closely with application support team for the resolution of incidents and problems affecting key systems
- Co-ordination and management of network service providers including LAN, WAN and financial providers
Main qualifications and skills required:
- Minimum five years' experience as an Network Architect
- Demonstrated experience in network technologies, architecture, design & security, and management such as:
- Datacenter virtualisation using Nexus platform
- MPLS
- L2 (Ethernet, switching)
- L3 (BGP,IGP)
- SD WAN and SDN technologies including CISCO ACI
- VPN
- QoS
- IP architecture
- Experience with Scripting including CLI, PowerShell, JSON and Python
- Experience with SDN, CISCO, Wan Optimisation (Riverbed) and Microsoft networking products
- 3rd party vendor/supplier management and co-ordination
- Strong ITIL knowledge and demonstrated experience in capacity, availability, performance management
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills with a high level of proficiency in written and spoken English
- Up-to-date network certifications (CCIE preferred)
