Network Architect - Data Centre Project

Due to increased project requirements, our client a leading large scale global outsourcing business is searching for an experienced Network Architect to join their team working on-site to undertake a large scale Data Centre project.

To be considered for this role you will have proven experience in a Senior Networking Architecture role ideally within a Data Centre environment.

The preferred candidate will have proven experience as follows:

- Advanced or strong knowledge of HP Networking products and technologies
- Advanced knowledge of protocols including BGP, IS-IS, OSPF, and EIGRP
- Advanced knowledge of tunnelling protocols including IPSEC, GRE, L2TPv3
- Knowledge of high availability protocols such as VRRP, HSRP, LACP, PAGP
- Extensive experience with network transformation and network migration design including core, distribution and edge for datacentres and large office
- Advanced knowledge of network virtualization technologies including MPLS and VRF
- Advanced knowledge of routing technologies
- Advanced knowledge of Quality of Service
- Written and oral communication skills
- Advanced knowledge of switching technologies
- Extensive Data Center technologies knowledge and experience
- High availability design experience
- Experience with VOIP components and converged networks
- Experience with load balancers (F5 and others)
- Experience with Proxy Servers and appliances (Bluecoat and others)
- Demonstrated ability to solve complex problems or produce complex solutions
- Extensive experience with large complex networks spread across metropolitan and regional areas
- The ability to communicate and influence customer and technical staff

This is a 2mth contract with potential to extend starting ASAP. This role is based in Western Sydney and an excellent daily rate awaits the successful candidate. Applicants with a strong consulting, pre-sales or outsourcing background will be preferred.
