MISSION

Lead and contribute to the analysis, design, development and implementation of network solutions and OSS systems (Operational Support Systems) based on business, technical, operational (provisioning, service assurance) or regulatory requirements. Implement concerned solutions following defined objectives, budget, effort and timing while ensuring an optimal balance between third party or vendor solutions and internal development and integration work. End-to-end responsibility on actions across the project life cycle from requirements phase up to launch into production environment.
Participate in specific technology assessments and studies in order to define the most appropriate evolution path of technical solutions and platforms.

MAIN TASKS

- Analyze and assess technical solutions and evolution to fulfil business, regulatory and operational (functional and capacity) requirements considering cost, time to market and quality. Evaluate and recommend evolution steps based on current and future technology capabilities.
- Participate in small to medium size implementation projects (from an end-to-end perspective), collaborate with different stakeholders (product management, operational teams, external suppliers and IT & network colleagues). Activities relate to design, implementation, testing and rollout of technical platforms and Operational Support Systems.
- Write functional and technical specifications and RFP (Requests for Proposal) documents.
- Participate in RFI (Request for Information) and RFP (Request for proposal) processes for selecting most suitable product or vendor in close collaboration with product management, procurement and operational teams. Define the technical part of the contract (Scope of Work, Project Management Plan, and Professional Services) in close collaboration with external partner and concerned technical and purchasing peers. Provide technical support to assess commercial proposals.
- Generate methods and procedures and technical documents regarding technical solution and evolution (architecture, impact analysis) to be used by Marketing (Product Manager) and Operational teams.
- Participate in the implementation of technical solutions in collaboration with operational teams.
- Preferred technical representative on conferences, standardization body meetings and in relation to suppliers and regulatory bodies. Provide excellent support to internal and external stakeholders regarding the technical domain and create credibility and trust by becoming a reference in the area of competence. is considered as the reference in hisher area of technical competence and viewed as highly credible and trustworthy

- Product Managers to get relevant insight with regard to systems and service development.
- Procurement team for supplier selection, contractual and commercial support.
- Operational teams to integrate systems and changes in production environment.
- Network and IT Architects to define solutions within a globally coherent architecture.

Je profiel: TECHNICAL SKILLS & BEHAVIOURS
- Engineering degree in telecommunications and/or IT technology.
- Good knowledge of networks, telecommunications, IT landscape.
- At least 6 years professional experience in telecom or IT environment.
- Good experience in the following domains: 2G, 3G, LTE,
- Strong technical knowledge in the following protocols: SIP, SIP-I, SIP-IMS, RTP, ENUM, SS7, ISUP
- Working knowledge on OracleACME packet SBC or SMX, Sonus PSX and Sonus NBS 9K, 7K and 5.xK, Sonus GSX, hands-on experience on IMS platform from leading vendors is considered as an asset.
- Working knowledge of TDM SIP converters example Telcobridge TMG3200 or Sonus X211 is considered an asset.
- Good knowledge of emerging technologies like WebRTC, Voice over LTE (VoLTE) is considered as an asset.
- Good understanding of IP technologies and protocols is considered as an asset.
