Network and Security Support Engineer

A Network and Security Support Engineer is required to join the "Geo-Intelligence" programme of a world leader in the design and manufacture of satellite systems offering an unrivalled combination of Earth observation imagery and geo-information products and services. The role will be based in Newport with a likelihood of limited travel to the Farnborough site to support a datacentre move.

This will be a six month contract initially with potential for extension. Limited company day rate will be Dependent on experience.

Candidates must have worked in a secure environment in the last 12 months, ideally MOD.

The Network and Security Support Engineer will be responsible for the monitoring, support and evolution of the network and security services provided in the frame of PDGS operational services.

This role would suit a systems administrator/engineer who has moved into a Network Support/Management position.
Essential Experience and Skills
Substantial CISCO Network Engineering experience with substantial exposure to Network Security Engineering.
Must be able to work unsupervised whilst reporting to an offsite manager
Candidate must demonstrate ability to analyse problems and deliver appropriate solutions in a timely manner.
