Network and Security Engineer (Telecom)

Stamford Consultants is looking for a Network and Security Engineer for one of its Zurich-based customers in the telecommunication industry. This is a three month contract with option to extend.

Key Responsibilities:

- The main focus of the project is in Intrusion Detection and Prevention (IDS/IPS)
- Configuration and implementation of security policies
- Operation and engineering of Firewalls, proxies and intrusion detection systems
- Troubleshooting

Ideal Profile:

- Experience with  Firewall platforms like Checkpoint, Juniper, Palo Alto and Bluecoat proxies
- Good understanding of network design principles and protocols (TCP/IP, IPv4, IPv6)
- Up to date with current security topics such as intrusion detection and protection systems, anti-virus and content filtering, authentication, VPN, RAS
- Shell Scripting know-how and Linux experience would be an advantage
-  Flexible and sincere personality
-  Fluent English and German
