NETWORK AND SECURITY ARCHITECT - BRUSSELS, BELGIUM

LANGUAGES: ENGLISH and FRENCH

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

- Good knowledge on network security infrastructures (Firewall/Proxy/loadbalancers)
- Experience with DATACENTER and Internet facing security components:
- FIREWALLS (CHECKPOINT, PALO ALTO)
- PROXIES (BLUECOAT)
- VPN (CISCO ANYCONNECT, JUNIPER PULSE)
- LOADBALANCERS (F5)
- Good knowledge on datacenter network infrastructures, built around CISCO technologies
- Good all-round knowledge on network technologies: LAN/WAN/DC LAN switching (Cisco Nexus, CAT6k...)
- Good knowledge on common routing protocols
- Previous hands-on experience with network equipment is nice to have
- Knowledge on MPLS, VPLS is nice to have
- Redaction of high level design documents, standard & policy documents, RFP documents
- Experience with providing PowerPoint presentations to senior management and colleagues

DESCRIPTION OF WORK:

- In charge of the high level design of network solutions and the redaction of the HLD document
- Define strategic and tactical lines related to network/datacenter/security for the infrastructure plus the path for implementing and deploying them
- Assess requirements (new requirements or developments of existing ones) in terms of infrastructure and provide possible solutions
- Document the feasibility and the financial impact of the alternatives proposed and choose the solutions that best correspond to the strategy
- Support the technical experts and provide guidance in defining and describing infrastructure designs for each project in detail
- Carry out impact, dimensioning and quantitative studies for the solutions proposed for technical studies
- Draw up the technical conditions in the contract specifications for invitations to tender
- Assure maintenance of the architecture infrastructure referencing in your field, to produce complete, consistent documentation of the current infrastructure landscape
- Define, design and assure maintenance of infrastructure norms and standards in your field
