This is a contract (6 month) to perm position with a large oil and gas company. Overview
Our Client is seeking a Network Analyst. The Network Analyst will be responsible for all second and third level networking support and architecture.Role and Responsibilities
In this role, you will act as a generalist involved in supporting both IS departments and business units encompassing approximately 9000 users with their specific networking needs.
The Analyst will collaborate with the Field Support group for networking design, decisions and recommendations for our Client's field locations.
Typical responsibilities will include the following: - Manage all Content Switching and Load balancing using Citrix Netscalers/
- Oversee all OSPF design and configuration for a large multi path network
- Facilitate all BGP design and configuration for multiple Internet connections
- Design and configure QOS on both LAN and GRE encapsulated MPLS WANs
- Approve and validate network design for Canadian Natural's LAN and WANs
- Liaise with the Field team to identify new technology and design initiatives
- Direct, integrate and support voice technologies including Cisco Call Manager 8.5
- Manage Firewall and access control functionality using Cisco Firewalls, advanced ACLs, and Checkpoint Firewall
- Provide support for all VPN configuration and design including point to point and SSL VPNs
- Act as the escalation point for Voice/VOIP issues.
Qualifications
Required Skills - Typically 5+ years of related industry experience with a related Technical diploma
- CCIE (Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert) Certification preferred
- Familiarity with and understanding of: i) Design, installation and configuration of Cisco Routers (Cisco Sup 720, 73xx, 38xx, 28xx, 18xx) and Switches (Nexus 7000, 5000, Catalyst 650x, 450x, 37xx, 29xx) ii) MS, UNIX, and VMware operating systems iii) Diagnoses of network and VoIP issues iv) Network monitoring tools and strategies (Netscout, Sniffer, and Orion) v) Radio systems.
