RESPONSIBILITIES

- Monitors, troubleshoots, and manages incidents for WAN and/or LAN environments for several large, custom global enterprise network deployments.
- Works in a Network Operations Center providing advanced Tier 2 technical support of WAN/LAN networks for domestic and global clients.
- Manages the interoperability between Cisco and Juniper Layer 3 Platform, through the use of alarm and ticket systems, individual

designed customized scripts, customer notification, and Business Partner escalations
- Deploys new Routers, Switches, and trunk capacity as well as configuring them
- Provides Real Time in-depth analysis and Real Time trouble resolution of incidents associated with the CISCO, Juniper, and associated Operations Support Systems, and Data Communications Network Technology platforms
- Multi-tasks on complex, diverse issues and works with customers in a fast-paced SLA driven environment.

Uses excellent communication skills to clearly document and communicate findings, internally and externally. - Interacts with customers and communicates at a technical as well as non-technical level with peers, management, and customers.
- Jumps into issues, follows custom processes, and leads technically the troubleshooting efforts of potentially many different internal and external entities
- Accurately and quickly diagnoses and isolates the source of the network incident, and takes appropriate action to restore service.
- Demonstrates a sense of urgency and appropriate level of customer advocacy to correct problems on clients' behalf. {c}

SKILLS

Previous experience in a NOC environment and troubleshooting faults in a complex network environment are required. Must have expertise in: advanced WAN troubleshooting/problem determination, TCP/IP, MPLS, QoS, and routing protocol troubleshooting, Frame Relay, ISDN, ATM, Private Line, and advanced LAN/switch troubleshooting/problem determination. Must have advanced knowledge/experience with Cisco IOS Arch, and Campus/Data Center LAN troubleshooting experience. Must be a US citizen. ITIL knowledge/experience is desirable. Advanced knowledge/experience with Juniper/SRX Arch. is a plus. Experience with Remedy-based ticketing system and F5 or ACE Load balancer preferred. CCNA certification is desired.
