NETWORK ADMINISTRATOR needed for a CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's client located at Maxwell-Gunter AFB near Montgomery, AL.

POSSESSION OF A SECRET CLEARANCE IS REQUIRED AS A CONDITION FOR EMPLOYMENT.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- Analyzes, administers and maintains voice, video, and/or data communications networks.
- Responsible for the analysis, administration and support of voice, video, and/or data communications networks.
- Manages the usage and performance of voice, video and/or data communications networks.
- Maintains network security and ensures compliance with security polices and procedures.
- Evaluates hardware and software, including peripheral, output, and related equipment.
- Participates in the development and implementation of network-related procedures and standards.
- Participates in and may lead aspects of major network installations and upgrades.
- Interfaces with vendors to ensure appropriate resolution during network outages or periods of reduced performance.
- Develops and implements testing strategies and document results.
- Provides advice and training to end-users.
- Troubleshoots and resolves complex problems.
- May provide work leadership to less-experienced network personnel.
- Maintains current knowledge of relevant hardware and software applications as assigned.
- Participates in special projects as required.
- The candidate will be assigned as a network administrator/engineer responsible for the design, integration and deployment of a leading-edge information transport infrastructure.
- He/she will be a key participant in the detailed design, test and integration of network solutions.
- The candidate will ensure compliance with engineering schedules & priorities and adherence to client standards & procedures.
- He/she will participate in periodic technical reviews and client meetings, and regularly interact with management, clients, vendors and team members.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work experience.
- Must have an Active Secret clearance
- CompTIA Security+ CE certification required.
- Five to eight (5-8) years of directly related experience in network administration and support.
- Requires two to five (2-5) years of experience in a broad range of networking tasks including planning, design, test, integration and deployment of high-speed, secure, highly survivable, voice, data & video networks utilizing Cisco and other top-tier networking equipment.
- Specific expertise is required in IP network design and implementation, integration of network management systems and systems management software and platforms.
- Experience in U.S. military network systems is highly desired
- Some travel may be required.
