Network Administrator - San Diego

This is a second position created in addition to a Network Administrator we recently successfully placed.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Network and server infrastructure lead (Firewall, routing, switching, VPN). System design focused on high availability.
- Managing routing, switching, multiple VLANs, and VPN.
- Maintain integrity of network security.
- Support of SOX compliance; perform audits and provide evidence of compliance.

QUALIFICATIONS:

- Minimum of 2 year degree/or certification in a computer-related field.
- 3 to 7 years experience supporting and maintain data networking.
- Ability to support & maintain production 24/7.
- Working knowledge of network performance tuning and testing, with and emphasis in minimizing downtime.
- Strong PC background including Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

- CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate), CCNP (Cisco Certified Network Professional).
- Knowledge of TCP/IP subnetting, DHCP, DNS, IPSEC, RIP, OSPF, BGP, LACP, IPv4/IPv6 a plus.
- Knowledge of Cisco IOS, CLi configuration of Cisco Routers, ASA Firewalls, Cisco Catalyst 6500 backbone and Cisco Catalyst 3750x Switches.
- Minimal experience in Layer 2 switching, Layer 3 switching and routing protocols.
- Experience maintaining multi-home Windows Servers DCHP, DNS.
- Proficiency in implementation, support and network troubleshooting.
- Experience maintaining MS SQL, Oracle, Pervasive SQL.

TYPE OF EQUIPMENT:

- Operating Systems (Windows 7 XP, Windows NT, DOS). Equipment (CISCO Routers, Switches, Firewalls, phones, wireless network).

Compensation of $50 to $65/HR. (DOE).
