NETWORK ADMINISTRATOR needed for a CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's client located in San Diego, CA

THE BIG PICTURE:

- The Network Administrator will be responsible for the management and security of computer hardware, network equipment, and software systems that make up the complex tolling system for the South Bay Expressway, and will play a key role in providing uninterrupted service by ensuring the strength of the network and security infrastructure.
- Note: This position is located in the Otay Mesa-San Diego area, North of the US border

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- Network Administrator Maintain the day-to-day operation of the existing network including hardware and software support; plan, design, and implement data connectivity for local area network (LAN) and wide area network (WAN) systems
- Network Administrator configure, install, test, and monitor Routers, Switches, Firewalls, intrusion prevention systems, Virtual Private Networks (VPNs), and other devices to maintain optimal network performance and access control; upgrade firmware on network appliances and other devices as per manufacturer recommendations
- Network Administrator Resolve hardware issues; diagnose and correct failures in communications, network, and wireless network equipment; coordinate vendor services for problems that cannot be resolved in-house.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- Demonstrated experience providing support for a complex, integrated information system that directly supports 24/7 business operations; demonstrated experience providing highly-responsive network and enterprise application support services in a professional business setting.
- Demonstrated ability to configure, install, test, monitor, upgrade, and troubleshoot network systems and related equipment; experience with a wide range of Cisco networking equipment such as Routers, Switches, Firewalls, load balancers, and wireless access points.
- Knowledge of network access and control protocols preferably with Cisco and wireless encryption technologies and routing protocols; knowledge of various network monitoring tools and authentication software.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

- Any Cisco Certifications
- Experience with Fortigate and/or Sonicwall Firewalls is highly desirable
- Experience configuring, installing, and maintaining VMware based Virtual Environment and storage area networks (SAN) is highly desirable.
