Network Administrator

Beacon Hill Technologies is currently looking for NETWORK ADMINISTRATOR for a client located in WICKLIFFE, OHIO for a 6+ MONTH CONTRACT.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

- Troubleshooting and resolution of 3rd level LAN and WAN Network Issues which occur on a global basis.
- Design and implement network solutions for large backlog of IS projects.
- Identify areas of operational process improvement opportunities within the Network Team and then design, document and implement improved/optimized solutions as approved by management.

Requirements:

- 3yrs+ IT experience in supporting a CISCO LAN and WAN environment.
- A thorough and in-depth understanding of TCP/IP, subnetting, DNS, and DHCP.
- General awareness and appreciation of a global Microsoft environment.
- Ability to trouble shoot WAN issues in a mixed VPN and MPLS environment.
- Ability to implement QoS settings.
- Strong understanding of routing protocols such as BGP and EIGRP
- Strong understanding of switching technologies. Familiar with Nexus Switches a plus.
- Knowledgeable using Cisco Access Points and Wireless LAN Controllers.
- Experience configuring Cisco ASA devices.
- Sound working knowledge of network security technologies such as VPN, TACACS+ and Cisco ISE, Firewalls, IPS, Web Filtering
- Working knowledge of network protocol analysis and troubleshooting using various tools(eg Wireshark) and equipment for root cause determination.
- Scripting and automation experience using Perl, Python, etc. to help streamline routine network configuration tasks.
- Good communication and listening skills.
- Good interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines while providing quality customer service.
- Analytical and problem solving skills.

Desired:

- Very strong documentation skills.
- Experience with Microsoft Visio.
- Comfortable working in a team environment.
- Must be a self-starter and be able to use a high degree of initiative.
- Follows and advocates change management procedures.
- CCNA/CCDA/CCNP/CCDP certifications a plus.
