NETWORK ADMINISTRATOR DALLAS, TX CONTRACT OPPORTUNITY

SUMMARY: Install, configure, and support an organization's local area network (LAN), wide area network (WAN) and Internet system or a segment of a network system.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Research and update monitoring rules and thresholds applied to devices based on defined standards.
- Study and document present work flow and procedures.
- Identify potential computer networking and computer application areas.
- Write, test and de-bug complex programs.
- Provide technical assistance and training to user staff and to programming and operation personnel.
- Prepare, coordinate and supervise systems implementation.

QUALIFICATIONS:

- Bachelor degree in data processing or related field required
- 3+ years of Network Admin or related experience
- Entry level to 2 years experience required
- Working knowledge of monitoring tools and applications for network, storage, server and appliance devices
- Desirable: specific knowledge and experience with EMC Smarts, Watch4Net, SCOM, Sightscope, eIQ, and Voyence
- Verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, customer service and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and manage one's time
- Ability to identify, interpret and evaluate system and network requirements
- Knowledge of networking computer hardware and software
