Network Administrator

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Primary responsibility is monitoring the availability of the IT environment
- Responsibility for the monitoring and restoration of the Infrastructure following documented processes
- Work with groups within IT Infrastructure and IT Applications in resolving problem issues
- Perform routine Operational Demand Requests such as DNS, DHCP, Server or Network changes
- Work with other analysts within the 24x7 environment. This position is 2nd Shift. May be required to provide emergency support during severe storm mobilization and electric system damage restoration.

SKILLS:

QUALIFICATIONS

- Seeking a jack of all trades within the server/network world.
- Working knowledge and experience working within a corporate ticketing system for incident management
- Experience working within a large corporate Data Network environment. (Strong Cisco required)
- Working knowledge of IT network and systems management tools (experience with HP Openview NNM, HP OVPIwillingness to take personal initiative and lead others
- Strong customer service skills
- Highly effective written and oral communication skills
- CCNA certification is preferred.
- Must be confident and tactfully assertive.
- Must be flexible and willing to provide emergency support in the 24x7 environment
- Must have reliable transportation
- Must have basic Unix experience (know some commands).
