.NET DEVELOPER - 3 MONTH CONTRACT, NORTH CORK
Great opportunity for an energetic, self-motivated software developer to join my clients established team on an initial 3-Month Contract.
The role requires an open approach to problem solving so the individual should be pragmatic, not relying on a single technology or skill set to deliver projects. Solutions are developed as part of a wider ICT department so project/time tracking skills are an essential part of the role to keep stakeholders informed of progress and projected completion times.
RESPONSIBILITIES
* Requirements Analysis, Application Design & Implementation.
* Providing accurate estimates and timings to project managers.
* Daily interaction with business engagement teams to facilitate successful project implementation
* Delivery of application development using best practices.
* Self-motivating to ensure timely delivery and development of high quality software systems.
* Ability to work independently and as a team member in a dynamic environment.
* Able to plan workload effectively, taking into account dependencies which the team and the wider business may have on workload outputs.
* Ensuring all QA procedures are satisfied in terms of process and documentation.
* Daily reporting and feedback of progress on involved projects.
TECHNICAL SKILLS REQUIRED
* 3rd level Degree in Computer Science or related qualification or relevant industry experience
* Minimum of 3 years commercial development experience.
* Experience with .NET Development - VB.NET, Web Forms, Win Forms.
* Standard ASP.NET & MVC Web Development
* ASP.NET Web API, Web Services, REST, SOAP
* CSS, HTML, Ajax/JavaScript including JQuery
* SQL Server Development (Stored Procedures, Functions, Triggers, ADO, etc.)
* Extensive experience with Object-oriented analysis, programming and design.
* Experience in all aspects of Software development life cycle.
* Experience working in Enterprise environments developing solutions with multi-tiered architecture.
The following technical skills would be beneficial but are not essential:
* Database Design (Database Schema, Optimisation, etc.)
* Experience using Entity Framework & Linq
* Experience with client side data binding JavaScript Frameworks (eg AngularJS Backbone, Knockout JS ) would be beneficial but not necessary.
* SQL Server Reporting Services.
* Visual Basic 6.
* Experience with image editing software (eg PhotoShop).
