NET QA Engineer w/Automation

.NET QA ENGINEER CAMAS, CA 1 YEAR CONTRACT

Our client is a privately-held investment management firm headquartered in the San Francisco Bay Area with a track record of successfully managing portfolios for high-net-worth private clients and some of the world's preeminent institutions. This company has grown significantly over the past decade and is now searching for a successful Quality Assurance Specialist to join the team.

You will work closely with business users and the project team to analyze business requirements in order to create project test scenarios and provide feedback on the actual system implementation of the business logic. You will create test plans, test cases, and will participate in user acceptance testing to ensure that the highest quality products are released to production.

TASKS:

- Design, document and execute test procedures
- Conduct test entry reviews and record and document test results
- Manage all aspects of User Acceptance Testing
- Investigate, recommend, implement and manage testing tools
- Coordinate with the Projects and Application Development teams to drive product quality
- Participate in business requirements documentation reviews to extract test scenarios
- Work closely with Application Development Group to promote software quality standards
- Work closely with the Projects Group to replicate customer issues and application use cases

REQUIRED SKILLS:

- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of experience and education
- 3+ years of experience testing software in a structured setting
- Must have SQL Query and automation experience
- Ability to conduct: functional, load, performance testing, automation, smoke testing
- QA Methodology
- In-depth knowledge of best practices for the Software Development Life Cycle
- Broad experience designing and maintaining automated tests
- Experience with standard software tools for test case management and defect tracking
- Experience testing Microsoft Dynamics solutions
- Excellent written and oral communications skills
- Ability to interact creatively and achieve results in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
- Superior attention to detail
- Strong quantitative and analytical thinking skills
- Ability to prioritize across various tasks and cope with changes in daily workload
- Operate under several deadlines, including numerous ones intra-day
- Soft skills requirements: self-starter, excellent communication skills, is open to improving processes
- Need to be flexible to work overtime if needed
