.NET PROGRAMMER/DEVELOPER

CONTACT DURATION: 12+MONTHS (STRONG POSSIBILITY OF EXTENSION)

This position exists to provide expert technical analysis and programming support in the development, maintenance and enhancement of the TRA.NET project. This position is responsible for completing facets of development, testing and implementation of any assigned project, including complex projects and/or significant parts of large projects. The new TRA.NET system will provide automation of most business processes and procedures used by the Teachers Retirement Association (TRA) to serve its members.

Engagements designing, coding, implementing and testing .NET framework applications and strong knowledge of web-based applications

Engagements developing and implementing Web Applications with Microsoft Visual Basic.NET and Microsoft Visual Studio.NET

Engagements developing and implementing Web Applications with Microsoft Visual C#.NET and Microsoft Visual Studio.NET

Engagements developing XML Web Services and Server Components with Microsoft Visual C# and the Microsoft .NET Framework

Engagements analysing requirements and defining Microsoft .NET Solution Architectures

Engagements designing and implementing databases with Microsoft SQL Server Enterprise Edition. Experience in identifying, analysing/resolving related performance issues is a plus.

Engagements managing, organizing, and delivering IT Projects by using Microsoft Solutions Framework tools

Engagements implementing security for applications with Microsoft Visual Basic .NET

Implementing security for apps w/Microsoft Visual C# .NET may be req'd for some engagements. No minimum.

Microsoft Certified Solutions Master (MCSM)  - SharePoint certification

Other relevant programming areas may be required for some engagements. No minimum.

Communication of project plans, expectations, updates, etc. may be required for some engagements. No minimum.

Working independently and/or in a team environment may be required for some engagements. No minimum.
