Net Developer (Windows & Web) - £35k + - Cumbria

I am urgently seeking a PERMANENT .Net developer for a role based in Cumbria.

They can offer a relocation package, so if you like the great outdoors and the excellent views of the lakes then this may be for you.

My client has grown rapidly within their market and whilst continuing to grow their traditional sales they are now busy developing digital products.

They employ more than 150 people across four sites, right on the edge of the Lake District.

They take pride in the fact that they write most of their software in-house and now need to take advantage of new technologies and new ways of doing things to redevelop a whole range of systems.

We need a C# developer with commercial experience to work at the heart of their change. It's a rare opportunity to be involved in such a major project and to be able to influence how it happens.

It's also a great time to be involved in their development as their focus is really on IT for the future.

I am looking for someone with proven experience in:

* C# Windows and Web application development
* Visual Studio 2010 and .NET
* SQL Server 2008
* Relational database design
* OO methods (within an in-house Framework)
* Delphi 7/2007/XE (desired but not essential)

Generic Web development skills would also be an advantage:

* HTML 5, ASP.NET, JavaScript, CSS

Alongside these technical skills you'll also need to have:

* At least three years' commercial experience in C# development
* Strong analytical, problem-solving and conceptual skills
* Knowledge of full software lifecycle development
* A naturally customer-focussed approach to your work
* Brilliant communication skills

You'll also need to be really sharp, have stacks of knowledge (and be happy to share it) and be keen to carry on learning.
