NET Developer - Web Applications

DUTIES:

- Develops, codes, test and debugs new software or enhancements to existing software within the Company's suite of Internet Applications.
- Works with technical staff and business team to understand and analyze system changes.
- Reviews existing programs or formulates logic for new systems, devises logic procedures, prepares flowcharting, performs coding, and tests/debugs programs

SKILLS:

REQUIREMENTS:

- Strong experience developing web applications and a working knowledge of Object Oriented Programming (OOP) techniques and design.
- Strong experience developing web applications using the following technologies/tools: Visual Studio .NET, Visual Studio 2008, VB.NET, and the .NET Framework.
- Experience in creating SOAP and REST based web services. Experience with the Windows Communication Foundation (WCF) would be beneficial.
- Strong SQL and analytical skills.
- Strong markup language skills (HTML, XML, CSS)
- Strong client side JavaScript skills. Experience with the JQuery JavaScript library would be beneficial.

PREFERENCES:

- Familiarity with energy industry terms and business vernacular.
- Experience troubleshooting and debugging web applications on the Windows Operating System environment.
- Familiarity with ASP.NET 2.0 features.
- Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist (MCTS) credentials
- Familiar with IIS 8.0 and differences between IIS 6 and IIS 8.0

EDUCATION:

- Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science, MIS, or equivalent work experience.
