Net Developer (Q1)

A new 6 month contract opportunity has arisen for a .NET Developer to join this large scale, well recognised Queensland Government Organisation based in inner CBD.

The .Net Developer will be required to provide technical expertise and leadership in the analysis, development, testing, implementation and support of software solutions that meet user requirements, project timelines, and technical and architectural standards.

Furthermore, the.NET Developer will be actively involved in design, development, testing, deployment and support activities.

ADDITIONAL KEY RESPONSIBILITIES FOR THIS ROLE FOR THE SUCCESSFUL .NET DEVELOPER WILL BE AS FOLLOWS;

- Develop, test, implement and support system development activities to ensure highly efficient and professional quality applications are developed, installed and maintained
- Lead the analysis of software application problems and issues and the formulation and provision of appropriate solutions to ensure defined enterprise service levels are maintained.
- Review software requirements from the Analysis to ensure accuracy and completeness in technical detail and conformance to technical architecture.
- Prepare comprehensive reports and documentation of developed software solutions.
- Prepare technical specifications and tenders for the acquisition of equipment and

products to meet client requirements. - Undertake research into new products, services and tools relevant to the development environment

TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS POSITION, YOU WILL REQUIRE THE FOLLOWING KEY SKILLS AND EXPERTISE;

- Demonstrated ability to effectively perform the requirements of the role within a large complex and geographically dispersed ICT environment.
- Demonstrated ability to participate effectively in a working environment supporting quality human resource management practices including employment equity, anti-discrimination, ethical behaviour and occupational health and safety.
- Demonstrated experience as a software developer with MS Visual Studio, .NET 4.0, C# and Microsoft WCF (Windows Communication Foundation).
- Proven knowledge and practical experience with Microsoft SQL Sever 2008
- Proven knowledge and practical experience in Experience with ORM (Object Relational Mapping) such as NHibernate. Experience with MVC (Model-view-controller) and/or MVP (model-view-presenter) architecture patterns.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
