NET Developer - Multiple Roles - October 2013 Contract

A fantastic opportunity has become available for experienced .NET Developers within a Government Department for a long-term contract role.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Prioritise, analyse and complete tasks according to the nature and urgency of the request;
- Develop new, and support and maintain existing applications strictly in accordance with departmental change control procedures predominately in Microsoft SharePoint;
- Maintain data and office security and system integrity in accordance with Departmental Security Instructions;
- Provide first through third level support for applications;
- Liaise with System Administrators for application and implementation management; and
- Ensure that the tasks and progressive action history are duly recorded and concluded to the client's satisfaction.

SKILLS:

- At least 5 years demonstrated ability in the development of solutions in Microsoft .NET and SharePoint environments with a thorough understanding of: Custom ASP.NET web part development Workflows Solutions and features
- Significant exposure to SharePoint 2010, including design, implementation and configuration using Visual Studio 2010 and TFS;
- Experience in developing N-Tier applications in the Microsoft Framework (ASP.NET, C++ etc);
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to develop strong client relationships and translate business requirements to technology solutions; and
- Experience in developing and maintaining technical documentation.
