NET Developer (Junior) - English Speaking Contract in Zurich

For a global bank we are looking for a .NET Developer to join the team.

SCOPE OF WORK:

The successful candidate will be working within the STS Structured Products & common Services IT development team working with several in-house applications.

DUTIES INCLUDE:

- Provide C#/.Net (WCF/WPF) and SQL development skills to the team.
- Provide the bridge between development and support teams
- Contribute to improving the application code base, development and support processes.
- Perform regular code reviews to ensure development standards are met and that high quality is maintained
- Help ensure a stable production environment and provide development capacity for minor feature improvements.
- Collaborate with IT peers globally, in particular Zurich and Wroclaw, Poland.
- Participate in the entire software development life cycle including technical design, documentation, software development, unit testing & production implementation
- Lead role in supporting QA team throughout functional and regression testing of changes.

TECHNICAL SKILLS:

- GRADUATE IN IT
- C# .NET DEVELOPMENT SKILLS - 1 OR 2 YEARS COMMERCIAL EXPERIENCE
- Understanding of OO concepts and design patterns
- Knowledge of JavaScript and XML would be a plus
- Experience of Test automation would be a plus
- Knowledge of financial sector would be a plus
- Ability to write basic database queries using T-SQL
- Strong English Language skills (German is a plus)
