Net Developer - Daily Rate Contract

DAILY RATE CONTRACT - 6 MONTH+ (CIRCA €400 PER DAY)

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Working on all aspects of an iterative software development life cycle to agreed standards and timelines
- Attending business workshops with users and business analysts
- Working closely with users on deriving functional and technical requirements
- Contributing to task breakdown, grooming and estimation for sprint planning
- Prototyping and implementation, promoting/adhering to best practice guidelines
- Participation in Agile Scrum team practices - grooming, planning, stands-ups, retrospectives
- Leverage/Adoption of existing/new industry and proprietary frameworks/APIs/tools.
- System unit and performance testing; UAT testing support
- Migration preparation, testing and execution
- Documentation and training via wikis, demos and presentations to team
- Maintenance and support - formulation of any procedures required

IT Skill Set Required:
ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE:

- Educated to Degree level in IT discipline
- Solid understanding of OO concepts (classes, objects, interfaces, inheritance, encapsulation, polymorphism)
- Solid application experience of Design Patterns and UML
- ASP.NET web application development
- .NET class library development
- .NET Framework 4.0
- SQL development (preferably Informix/SQL Server) & Stored procedures (T-SQL, PL/SQL or equivalent)

AT LEAST 3 OF THE FOLLOWING:

- .NET Web service development (preferably WCF)
- XML Programming (SOAP, XML schemas, WSDL)
- BDD test-driven development - SpecFlow in particular
- ORMs - eg NHibernate, Entity Framework
- Unit testing frameworks - eg NUnit or MS Unit test framework
- Experience of Agile (Scrum and/or XP) practices
- Solid CSS experience including cross-browser styling
- Javascript, jQuery,AJAX, JSON
- C# Windows Forms application development
- WCF development
- LINQ
- Rhino mocks or other mocking frameworks
- Web Front End testing frameworks eg Selenium
- SQL Server Reporting Services
- SQL Server Integration Services
- JIRA and associated plugins (Bamboo, Fisheye, Greenhopper)

Desirable

- Java (JSE/JEE technologies) and .NET-to- Java web service interoperability
- Application Servers (IIS, JBoss, Tomcat)
- Performance tuning
- Experience in an IT role focused on Investment and Banking systems
- Financial Services Industry knowledge/awareness
- Other best-of-breed industry frameworks/APIs/tools
