NET Developer Contract

MAIN FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB :

Contributes to the delivery of high quality products and/or sub-systems to agreed deadlines.
Implements component tests and carries out test runs.
Investigation and resolution (where necessary) of customer issues.
Participates in code reviews, identifying risks, and escalating issues when necessary.
Collaborate with other developers, QA and other parties to ensure high quality software.
Identifies best practice improvements and makes changes as agreed with Team Leader.
Provides information to the project leader to assist with project planning
Provides input on technical direction.
Keeps technical skills up to date.

QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS REQUIRED :

Programming experience with at least one OO programming language (in this case .NET)
Expert knowledge of UI development for large applications
Microsoft .NET Framework specifically 3.5, ASP .NET forms and/or ASP.NET MVC and WCF services
Excellent knowledge of development (design, building, testing, debugging etc) on at least one operating system
Excellent hands-on knowledge of those best practices used on a day-to-day basis
Familiar with relevant industry standards and trends
Good Knowledge of security technology and systems.
Displays energy and initiative in solving daily problems. Follows all possible avenues to get the job done. Identifies and confronts problems, proposes solutions or escalates when appropriate.
Can communicate clearly both verbally and in writing with team members and with other groups, if necessary. Is seen as approachable by others. Good technical documentation skills
Organizes own schedule to deliver on commitments in a timely manner. Produces plans that are visible and useful to Team Leader.
Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness, and strives towards excellence.
