Net Developer (C#/Vb.NET, Sql, TCP/IP)

Yoh has a six to eight (6-8) month contract opportunity for a .NET DEVELOPER (C#/VB.NET, SQL, TCP/IP) to join our client in Charlotte, NC

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

- SENIOR-LEVEL C#/VB.NET software developer with a strong background in building scalable, predictable, high quality and high-performance applications on the Microsoft technology stack.
- As a Senior Developer, you will be responsible for BUILDING AND MAINTAINING EXTERNAL-FACING WINDOWS APPLICATIONS, WINDOWS SERVICES, AND WEB APPLICATIONS.
- You will work with a team of experienced analysts, developers and business resources to build highly performing enterprise systems to help take our product offerings to a new level.
- The successful candidate will be a responsible, motivated, self-started who is able to work alone as well as in a team environment.
- BUILD NEW SYSTEMS WITH .NET 4.0/C#/VB.NET/ASP.NET/SQL SERVER 2008/WEB SERVICES/WCF DATA SERVICES
- Develop new functionality within our existing software products and systems.
- Maintain and provide 3rd-tier support for existing applications.
- Serve as a Technical Lead and mentor developers.
- Participate in a small, experienced, energetic team on a rapid, agile development schedule.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related area is preferred.
- Microsoft certifications are a plus.
- Six (6) plus years of experience as a developer (lead developer would be a plus).
- Three (3) plus years of experience with C#/VB.NET.
- Two (2) plus years of working with SQL Server (2005/2008 preferred).
- SOLID UNDERSTANDING OF OBJECT-ORIENTED PROGRAMMING (OOP) and computer science foundations, such as memory management and low-level algorithm performance.
- Deep knowledge of the .NET 3.5/4.0 Framework, including Visual Studio 2008, C#, VB.NET, ASP.NET, Web Services, and ADO.NET.
- Strong experience designing and working with n-tier architectures (UI, Business Logic Layer, Data Access Layer) along with some experience with SERVICE-ORIENTED ARCHITECTURES (SOA).
- EXPERIENCE WITH DEVELOPING LOW-LEVEL TCP/IP SOCKET COMMUNICATIONS ROUTINES.
- Ability to design and optimize SQL Server 2008 stored procedures.

KEY SKILLS:
- Mid to Senior-level C#/VB.NET experience
- Experience with developing LOW-LEVEL TCP/IP SOCKET COMMUNICATIONS ROUTINES
