Net Developer

Proteus Europe are currently looking for a .NET developer for one of our clients based in Belgium.

As an .NET advanced developer
- You develop based on the requirements provided by the functional analyst so that you meet the acceptance criteria of the requirements;
- You develop according to the coding standards in place, respecting the well-defined software architecture and design;
- You also consider non-functional requirements during your development in cooperation with the rest of team (eg maintainability, user-friendliness, performance)
- You propose alternatives to optimize the existing application in terms of maintainability, usability, performance
- You contribute to the definition of the technical specifications
- You develop small and big business enhancements for large projects leading to major releases
- You quickly solve productions issues
- You define, execute and constantly improve unit testing
- You execute peer review of your peers in the team
- You demonstrate the results of your developments to the functional analyst and business stakeholders
- You cooperate with your peers from other teams when application interfaces are concerned;
- You deploy applications in different environments under your control
- You describe the deployment procedure (and according configuration) so that the operational teams can deploy and configure the application for the acceptance and production environments
- You report to the team lead.

Expected Skills and experiences:
- You have a strong proven experience in the .NET framework 4.0 or up (C#), WCF, MVC, Javascript, and PL/SQL;
- You have experience with concepts like unit testing, dependency injection, design patterns
- You have a good knowledge of French or Dutch and are fluent in English (oral and written)
- You can work independently but also as a team player in complex project organizations
- You have excellent communication skills (verbally and written) on all levels with the ability to articulate to both technical and non technical audiences, both internal and external to the company
- You are a problem solver who takes the business risks into account when proposing solutions
- You are able to work proactively
- You can easily and simply explain complex business or technical subjects
- You are capable of multitasking & prioritizing in a changing environment
- You are flexible and focus on the defined priorities
- You take particular attention to details and are precise and rigorous in your work

The following experiences will be an advantage:
- Knowledge of the electricity/power energy sector with related experience
- Knowledge of Team Foundation Server
