NET Developer

Yoh has a six to twelve (6-12) plus month contract opportunity for a .NET DEVELOPER to join our client in Kinston, NC.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide production support as needed for mission critical applications. This may include support beyond typical business hours and include communication with business users.
- Serve as primary contact for application break fix situations and system enhancements.
- Analyze and debug application issues quickly and effectively. This may include coordination with additional technical areas.
- Design and develop Web and Windows Forms based .NET solutions for business applications.
- Adhere to the version control system, build and release processes etc as prescribed for the project.
- Have an understanding of Service-Oriented Architecture principles and best practices in solution architecture and design.
- Participate design and code walk-through for review and incorporate feedback into design and code artifacts.
- Perform unit and integration tests and resolve any resulting issues/bugs.
- Execute performance and load tests on applications and identify problems.
- Work with team members to identify potential risks in application design and delivery.

Job Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Mathematics/Statistics, Software Engineering, or other technical field.
- Two to five (2-5) years of experience in IT industry
- Extensive experience in building Web/Windows Forms solutions using the .NET Framework and Visual Studio 2008 - 2013.
- Extensive experience with C#.
- Extensive experience in building web services using the .NET Framework, (preferably with .NET Framework 3.5 and above and the WCF).
- Should be knowledgeable about all the major class libraries and namespaces.
- Experience in Visual Studio Team System/Team Foundation Server is highly desirable.
- Experience in object-oriented software implementation.
- Experienced in developing design artifacts based on UML notations and using standard tools.
- Experienced in using application frameworks such as the Enterprise Library.
- Capable of creating design artifacts.
- Possess extensive knowledge and understanding of XML documents, XSD schemas, XSLT to develop the necessary schemas and maps to represent the flow of the messages through the solution.
- Possess a good understanding of relational database concepts.
- Ability to multi-task and meet strict deadlines.
- Ability to communicate effectively with business users as well as technical users.
