Net Developer

Yoh has a contract to hire opportunity for a .NET DEVELOPER to join our client in Charlotte, NC.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- As a .NET Developer, you will be responsible for building and maintaining external-facing Windows applications, Windows Services, and Web applications.
- Work with a team of experienced analysts, developers and business resources to build high-performing enterprise systems to help take our product offerings to a new level.
- Build new systems with .NET 4.0/C#/VB.NET/ASP.NET/SQL Server 2008/Web Services/WCF Data Services
- Develop new functionality within our existing software products and systems.
- Maintain and provide 3rd-tier support for existing applications.
- Serve as a Technical Lead and mentor developers.
- Participate in a small, experienced, energetic team on a rapid, agile development schedule.
- All other responsibilities as assigned

Job Qualifications:
- Four (4) plus years of experience as a developer (lead developer would be a plus).
- Three (3) plus years of experience with C#/VB.NET.
- Two (2) plus years working with SQL Server (2005/2008 preferred).
- Solid understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP) and computer science foundations, such as memory management and low-level algorithm performance.
- Deep knowledge of the .NET 3.5/4.0 Framework, including Visual Studio 2008, C#,
- VB.NET, ASP.NET, Web Services, and ADO.NET.
- Strong knowledge of software implementation best practices.
- Strong experience designing and working with n-tier architectures (UI, Business Logic
- Layer, Data Access Layer) along with some experience with service-oriented architectures (SOA).
- Experience with developing low-level TCP/IP socket communications routines.
- Ability to design and optimize SQL Server 2008 stored procedures.
- Ability to adapt quickly to an existing, complex environment.
- Ability to quickly learn new concepts and software is necessary.
- Candidate should be a self-motivated, independent, detail oriented, responsible team player and exhibit exceptional relationship management skills.
- Must be passionate about building high-quality systems with software implementation best practices while leading and mentoring a team of developers.
- Must demonstrate ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, balancing business needs with a solid commitment to development excellence
