CONTRACT .NET DEVELOPER - BELGIUM

Job Type: Contract - 3 - 6 months initially (likely to extend)
Salary: €60 per hour negotiable
Start: Immediately
Location: Belgium (Beerse near Antwerp)

The Role
Our client is a multinational, Fortune 500 company and is looking for an experienced .NET Developer with a passion for technology to join their Belgium office (Beerse, near Antwerp). The client have a .NET (WPF/WCF) application with MS SQL Database which they wish to update to allow communication with cloud for storage of experiments raw data. This will mean changes in the .NET application to have interaction with cloud provider to upload raw data, store Meta data at application side and to restore data from cloud. The upload/restore of data will involve compression/decompression of raw data.

Primary Tasks and Responsibilities
- Participate in the design, development, integration and testing of new applications or functionality enhancements;
- Participate in a weekly status and project meeting with the J
- provide user support on these applications to internal clients
- Uploading new content to applications;
- Change request support and administration;
- Service request support and administration;
- Application maintenance activities;

Technical Requirements

- MS-SQL Server

Methodology/Certification requirements:
- Master and/or Bachelor Degree in Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science, Chemistry or Bioinformatics OR equivalent through experience. Advanced course work in technical systems plus continued education in technical disciplines is preferred
- Language proficiencies: English spoken and written, Dutch is a plus
