Our client is in need of a .NET Developer to develop the enhancements to their existing Database. This involves database schema changes, modification of existing user interfaces, creation of web services using the W3C Standard of the Web Services Description Language (WSDL 2.0), unit testing and defect resolution.

To be successful in this role you will need demonstrated experience in the following:

- Solid design principles including relational database technologies and design techniques.
- Design and programming in multi-tier system delivery with web-based development (ASP .NET), WCF, smart client or Thin Client technologies.
- Ability to work independently and participate effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team with some supervision and to prioritise work and deliver within tight timeframes.
- Effective verbal and written communication and negotiation skills with a proven ability to maintain good relationships with clients and colleagues of Commonwealth Procurement Rules, policies and practices

The successful applicant will be required to commence work ASAP until 31 December 2013. Applicants without clearances are advised that commencement of work will be dependent on a satisfactory police check which will be initiated by the client upon selection. A NV1 (SECRET) security clearance will be initiated and processed after the successful candidate has commenced work.
