NET Developer

The Care Delivery Mobility and App Delivery team is seeking an experienced software developer with a proven track record of developing and supporting robust Windows applications.

Applicant must have extensive technical experience with .NET. We are looking for a strong software developer with C#, VB.NET, ASP, Visual Basic, VBScript, Python, SQL and XML. In addition to very strong technical skills, we are looking for someone who is results-oriented, who looks forward to being a part of a team and who has excellent verbal and written communication skills. The ideal candidate will contribute both technically and personally to the success of the Care Delivery Mobility and App Delivery team.

You will have shared responsibility for ensuring the successful development, installation and implementation of a very large and complex Versatile Macro Application which can detect specific screen state and send desired keystrokes/mouse clicks depending on the user's context within KP HealthConnect. In addition, you will be called upon to develop, test and debug other innovative, cutting-edge applications relating to the delivery of care.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (listed in order of importance):
(Please keep in mind that the candidate selected for hire must meet all of the qualifications listed as basic)
1.) Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field (equivalent experience will be considered)
2.) 5+years experience in systems analysis/programming, software development, implementation and ongoing support
3.) 3+ years of software development experience using .NET Framework, specifically C# and VB.NET
4.) 3+ years of experience using Microsoft Visual Studio and source control management (StarTeam experience a plus)
5.) 3+ years of experience in a Windows-based development environment
6.) Proficiency in ASP, Visual Basic, COM and VBScript and XML
7.) Thorough understanding of Object Oriented Design and programming
8.) Must demonstrate creativity, excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Resourcefulness is imperative, must be able to find the answer
9.) Strong written and verbal communication, interpersonal and collaboration skills
10.) Proven track record of succeeding through issues, technical challenges, and other constraints
11.) High degree of flexibility and adaptability with multiple, parallel application projects
12.) Willing to take on additional responsibilities as requested

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (listed in order of importance):

- Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field
- Proficiency in SQL (SQL Server experience a plus), Python (IronPython a plus) and Cache/MUMPS
- Experience using Windows API to build software that records keystrokes and mouse clicks
- Experience with Epic applications (certification in one of Epic's clinical applications and/or Hyperspace programming experience a HUGE plus)
- Experience with SOAP-based web services
- Mobile programming experience with various Mobile Application Platforms (iOS, Android, Windows ) and associated skills: Java, JavaScript, C, C++, Objective C, Lua, HTML, HTML5, CSS, Ruby, etc.
- Experience with Citrix XenApp
- Related work within the healthcare industry
