NET Contract Engineer with Paid International Travel

Our Alpharetta, GA client is looking for a .NET developer to join their team. This position would require a lot of international travel, and you will be compensated for your hours spent travelling in addition to working hours.

This is a great international company, and will provide a very long term contract.

REQUIRED

a. Expert (3+ years) level knowledge of MS-SQL server 2005 or 2008
b. Expert (3+ years) level knowledge of C#
c. Expert (3+ years) level knowledge of Visual Studio environment
d. Intermediate to expert level knowledge of MS-Reporting services
e. Basic knowledge of ASP.NET

f. Intermediate level knowledge of Windows security (server or XP)
i. NET/Web Services
ii. OPC HDA/OPC DA/OPC AE
iii. DCOM

NICE TO HAVES

a. Experience with 2008 Server security
b. Experience with virtual environments
c. Experience with and troubleshooting in networking environments.

EXPERIENCE

REQUIRED (IN ORDER OF IMPORTANCE)

a. 3-7 years related experience in the Control, Automation and MES fields with strong Process Control, DCS, and MES application knowledge
b. Manufacturing or MMM Industries
c. Quality assurance, and related quality documentation focus
d. Database and MES technologies and conceptual design
e. Understand scope, push back or escalate as appropriate when scope creep is identified
f. Identify project risks and communicate those with options to the Project Manager or Technical Lead.
g. Controller (PLC, RTU, PC, DCS) programming
h. Detailed knowledge of process control theory
i. Willing to travel
j. Identify when problem escalation or resolution is required

k. Ability to interact with customers
i. Process improvement methodologies (Lean, 6-Sigma, etc).
ii. Interpret and understand process mapping, and P&ID drawings
iii. Verbal communication skills
iv. Interpret customer requests and ability to respond in non-tech-speak
v. Listening

l. Solid technical report writing skills - sees value in documentation and process (avoid re-inventing the wheel).
