FUNCTION DESCRIPTION

My Client is actively looking for 1 .NET C# (XML) developer to integrate one of its project teams. The objective of this team is to deliver an application which integrates in a suite of critical core-applications for gas flow management

Based on formal analysis (UML), and following guidelines and market best practices the candidate will produce quality code, with unit-testing, code coverage and documentation. Ideally the candidate will have relevant experience in corporate-wide projects.

The main responsibility will consist into configuring/writing mappings to translate XML messages using the data transformation tool Contivo from Liaison.

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Understand and document the XML data transformation needs between internal XML messages and external EDI messages
- IMPLEMENT XML MAPPINGS
- Cooperate with Lead Developer to produce System and Component Designs
- Implement business & technical components
- Testing (unit tests, integration tests)

COMMUNICATION SKILLS

- Ability to communicate with business analysts for understanding the UML specifications and designs that form the basis for implementation
- Ability to communicate with technical architect to understand the constraints of the architecture that must be respected
- Ability to communicate in Dutch (spoken) or French (spoken) and English (spoken and written)

PERSONAL SKILLS

- Ability to work relatively independently following the priorities and timing of the release and Sprint plannings
- Ability to work structured following the procedures (check-in, check-out, time sheet reporting, punctuality)
- Ability to work according to rules, standards and guidelines defined in the architecture
- Ability to communicate realistic predictions about the development work
- Ability to learn a complex business model
- Team Player, results oriented

TECHNICAL SKILLS

- STRONG KNOWLEDGE OF XML, XSLT AND XPATH
- Ability to work in a consistent and structured way, according to the coding conventions and rules as set out in the architecture
- Ability to do bottom-up research for problem diagnostics
- Ability to document code in a clear and concise manner
-  luency in the use of the following tools:

o Modeling tools: Enterprise Architect
o Development tools: C#, Visual Studio 2008 with TFS for Source Control, Build, Work Item Tracking, Unit Testing
o Platform related tools : TOAD, Oracle 10g, IIS, - Ability to learn and use specific infrastructure applications, including Fault Tolerance, Scheduling, Authorization Manager, SSRS based reporting, Tibco-based Messaging,

EXPERIENCE & EXPERTISE

- SOUND EXPERIENCE WITH XML (XSLT, XPATH, )
- Sound experience with understanding and implementing formal UML designs and specifications for complex business logic
- Sound knowledge of C# and .NET 2/3 for development of multi-tier, high-available enterprise applications with WinForms or ASP.NET in front and IIS-hosted .NET Remoting services in Back End.
- Sound knowledge of SQL and PL/SQL. Knowledge of SSRS is an asset.
- Sound knowledge of and experience with OO development and generally applicable patterns.
- Knowledge of Domain-Driven Design-principles is an asset
- Knowledge of Scrum is an asset
- Knowledge of EDI or EDIGAS is an asset
- Knowledge of a data transformation tool (such as Laison Contivo) is an asset
