Jobrole:

MAIN TASKS:

* Production Support

o Solving incidents with limited timeframes and under pressure

o BAU - monitoring incident queues and team mail box, etc.

o Troubleshooting Windows/Cascade Applications

o Implementation (deploying) in PR environment outside the official working hours

* Project Support

o Consultancy in project 4-2-1 (eg migration applications)

o Deployments for testing purposes.

o Participation/perform pre production tests

o Deliver support during testing (incident solving)

o Deployments to a production site

o Support during implementation

* Acceptance

o Secure operational aspects

o Give 'go/no go' advice for implementation

* Second line support during and outside business hours (24/7 stand-by)

o Creating/updating maintenance documentation

o Creating/updating/improving Helpdesk scripts

o Creating/updating/improving Operator instructions

o Knowledge Maintenance (documentation, providing training)

Environment (Domain/department/team/project)

Account (Application Support) has several domains of which one is CHANNELS. Domain Channels consists of several sub domains of which one is CASCADE. There are 4 (fellow) application support specialists working in the team. CASCADE is an application (Windows based) for documentation storage, versioning and application distributioning. The Cascade suite also contains Web Publishing capability. It has more than 11000 users within our client's environment.

Extensive description of the required skills

MOST IMPORTANT (TECHNICAL SKILLS):

*Microsoft Windows Environment (proven Windows server versions) skills
*Visual Studio
*Programming languages: one or more of C, C#, VB6 (more is better)
*Microsoft .NET Environment (Windows Forms, ASP.NET, MVC, Web Services)
*Scripting languages (eg Perl, AWK, etc.)
*HTML/XML/CSS/JavaScript/Ajax/jQueryProven UNIX (AIX & Linux) skills and experience in a complex (virtualized) environment
* Software Development (Windows client, server and web applications) o PRISMA (Peregrine Service Centre)

Other (soft) skills:
* Financial Banking knowledge
* Excellent communication skills, both speaking and writing English
