NEW CONTRACT OPPORTUNITY IN SWITZERLAND - NET APPLICATION DEVELOPER - .NET/C#/TRANSACT SQL/MS SQL/SERVERS - SWITZERLAND

NEXT-LINK SOLUTIONS ARE CURRENTLY SEEKING A .NET APPLICATION DEVELOPER WITH THE FOLLOWING SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

- 5+ years experience in ASP.NET 2 and versions above - architecture, development and best practices
- 5+ years experience in SQL Server 2005 and versions above, Transact SQL development, design and best practices implementation
- 3+ years experience in architecting multi-tier clientserver .NET application
- Experience in Javascripts use for the ASP.NET applications
- Experience in projects involving an authentication through ASP.NET application against an existing Active Directory domain
- Experience in projects involving best practices for the security in web applications and applications code revision for security compliance
- Good knowledge and experience in IT business requirements gathering skills and IT system analysis SKILLS.

THE PROJECT CONSISTS OF TWO PARTS, EACH CONSISTING OF SPECIFIC TASK AS PER BELOW:

PART 1: DESIGN AND IMPLEMENTATION OF NEW STATISTICAL DATABASE COMPLIANT WITH THE ORGANISATION/COMPANY STANDARDS:

- Design and implement a new Statistical Database in accordance with requirements. Several data elements that are present in the current system must be available in the new database. Requirements include additional data elements to include, as well as a standardization of country definitions used in the current system
- Ensure that the existing internal application used to update the database is revised in accordance with the new design.
- Propose solutions to mitigate the impact of the new database on external users and applications that depend on the current system to get statistical data.

PART 2: DESIGN AND DEVELOPMENT OF STATISTICS GENERATION TOOL, AND A TABLE PRODUCTION SYSTEM:

- A tool that generates statistics data (Shares, growth, etc.) from raw data coming from the database, and based on various user defined rules and criteria.
- A user friendly, interactive graphical interface to allow the users to create table templates, edit and manage them.
- The application need to be able to link statistical data and labels to the templates with user interaction. Finally it needs to provide an automatic generation of tables based on user defined templates, in 3 languages and 3 formats (PDF, Excel, HTML).

The consultant will be required to participate in the final phase of the project architectural and technical design. In particular in designing of the relevant interface elements, like for example screen layouts, site navigation and components use for interactivity (menus, drop downs, tree views, tabs, external links, etc.)

The overall objective is to streamline the production of statistics from database to dissemination, in the most user friendly, performant and transparent way for the Secretariat users.

THE CONSULTANTS MAIN TASK:

- Designing, developing and implementation the system requirements using Microsoft .NET Technology
- Preparation of installation and configuration documentations
- Preparation of other documentations that may be required for the above.
