Nearly/Newly Qualified Actuary - Solvency II

To ensure client meets all its regulatory and group Solvency II deadlines. Responsibility for the production of clients Forward looking Assessment of Risk (FLOAR) in 2014 with subsequent sign off by Board and submission to the CBI. Responsible for the creation of Quantitative reporting templates, both annual and quarterly. Including participation in group QRT dry run exercise in Q4 2014 based on end 2013 position.

Skills/Knowledge:

* A full knowledge and understanding of actuarial principles, formulae and actuarial methodology including knowledge of Prophet and other actuarial modelling tools

* Sound knowledge of specific Life products, structure and administrative systems

* A full knowledge of statutory, legal and regulatory framework. With a particular emphasis on SII requirements

* Highly numerate and analytical with a developed capability to interpret data and establish alternate solutions to complex problems

* Innovative use of PC and computer software packages and program design

* Excellent knowledge of the life assurance industry, offshore experience desirable

* Strong communication skills

* Effective people management skills

Experience:

* Experience in actuarial work demonstrating understanding and use of more complex actuarial principles, methodologies and formulae gained within the life assurance industry
