Naval Architecture Engineer - Rotterdam, Netherlands

My client has been established for over 100 years, and are currently looking for a Naval Architectural Engineer, on a 12-month renewable contract in the Netherlands, Rotterdam.

Key responsibilities

Design and general arrangement
Working on Vessels and Offshore Vessels including analyse, design and engineering.
Performing and checking of strength analyses, like Finite Element Analyses (FEA)
Hull form design
Structural design including FEA
Layup schedule
Create and check diagrams, construction plans, arrangement drawings, parts lists, production drawings, calculations, specifications or reports
set up relevant load cases, calculation methods (static or dynamic)

Essential Experience:
Vessel design experience
Degree in Naval Architecture (or equivalent)
Experience in Ship design
Experience within Offshore
Able to demonstrate previous responsibility of entire vessel designs.
Experience working within a fast-paced production environment with direct liaison.
Experience of undertaking design work from concept to production
Experience working in or with boat/shipyards
