Languages: French and English (one fluent, one working level) Check Point certifications: CCSA, CCSE BlueCoat certifications: BCCPA, BCCPP IBM-ISS certifications: Site protector system A university degree or equivalent experience Knowledge and Skills The Mixed Network and Security Engineer must prove that he/she has an understanding of these technologies and the ability to configure them LAN features such as RSTP (and its optimisations) and 802.1Q IP features such as PAT, DHCP, HSRP and OSPF Nokia/GAIA/Check Point Firewall, VPN, IPS, SmartCenter, SmartEvent, Eventia Reporter M86 Security Web Gateways BlueCoat Proxy SG, MACH5, Director and Web Reporter ClearSwift MimeSweeper for SMTP and Cisco IronPort Solarwinds Orion, OPSVIEW Sophos Enterprise Manager Library Infoblox Dnsone IBM ISS Site Protector, Network IPS, Host IPS, Enterprise Scanner and Fusion Module F5 Viprion LTM The Mixed Network and Security Engineer must have knowledge of the following: Cisco 800, 2600,,3900 and 7200 Router series Cisco 3750 and 6500 Catalyst Switches Network analysers or sniffers for troubleshooting or network capacity planning Microsoft environment (Active Directory, SQL Server, DNS, RPC ) Cisco's NAM (Network Analysis Module) Fluke netflow tracker Cisco VPN 3000 series Concentrator Cisco ASA, Cisco VPN clients. The Network Engineer must have the following qualities: Good communications skills Experience. The Mixed Network and Security Engineer must prove that he/she has the following experience: At least 5 years experience in a technical networking and security role, implementing and supporting LAN networking infrastructures.
