Salary/Rate: UP TO 650 EUROS PER DAY - DOE

NATO CISCO NETWORK ENGINEER - BRUSSELS - 12 MONTH CONTRACT - START DATE: JUNE 2018

EXPERIENCED NEEDED:

- Over 2 years' experience of CISCO Routing and Switching Elements
- Minimum qualification of Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP)
- A minimum of 1 years' experience with the configuration and operation of HP Network Automation or equivalent network automation and orchestration systems
- A minimum of 2 years' experience with the configuration and operation of Network Monitoring and Event Management systems ideally Intermapper, Spectrum, HP Openview and Splunk
- Over 4 years' experience of working in a centrally managed network environment
- Proven experience in the use of an Incident Management System such as BMC Remed
- A high level of knowledge of network, system and application level troubleshooting techniques

KNOWLEDGE NEEDED:

- Working knowledge of OSPF Knowledge of EIGRP and IS-ISExtensive knowledge of implementing and operating LAN technologies (eg HSRP, STP, Switching, VLANs, DHCP snooping, ARP Inspection, Port-Security)
- Extensive knowledge of operating network authentication and authorization systems and technologies (eg Secure ACS5.x, 802.1x, 802.1ae MACSEC, RADIUS, TACACS+)
- Knowledge and experience with commercial lPSEC encryption solutions such as Secure Virtual Tunnels (sVTI), SSLVPN,DMVPN, GETVPN
- Proven experience in the configuration and operation of VolP systems
- Proven experience with CISCO based VolP solutions (CUCM 10.5 or higher, CME, CUBE)
- Proven experience in the configuration of Session Border Controllers
- Working Knowledge of SIP, H.323 signalling protocols
- Working Knowledge of virtual environments (VMWare, ESXi, vSphere, vCenter)

The tasks planned, subject to agreement with the Service Manager, include:

- Direct 1st level fault resolution of Voice, Routing and Switching Elements to sectors, sites and the Service Area routingcell
- Assist in Baselining of Voice network assets in accordance with the standard configuration set
- Advise on fault diagnosis throughout NATO sites utilizing a number of management platforms (eg HP Network Automation, Netscout, Intermapper, Splunk)
- Coordinate with sites to implement Voice, Routing and Switching elements centralisation, standardisation and best practices
- Liaise and collaborate internally throughout the NCI Agency Service Line infrastructures
- Being responsible for the maintenance of Standard Operating Procedures within the Voice, Routing and Switching Cells
- Configuration, and evaluation, of test scenarios within the NGCS Reference Facility, pertinent to the area of Voice, Routing and network configuration problem resolution
- Ensure a common understanding of the available toolsets and method of utilization within the centralised and distributed user base
- Investigating and proposing long term solutions to encountered equipment and configuration problems
- Operate provided management tools and capabilities
