DESCRIPTION:
The National Inventory Manager position will be responsible for the direction, flow, administration, communication and minor grief analysis of a returnable packaging ordering system. In addition, the National Inventory Manager position assists the Senior National Inventory Manager with monitoring, communicating and auditing the returnable packaging flow of North American facilities and Suppliers. Job Duties/Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to: Manage commonly owned returnable packaging inventory for facilities and its suppliers.

RESPONSIBLE FOR THE FOLLOWING ACTIVITIES:
Management of the daily questions for the plants and suppliers involving the packaging order system.
o Includes, Cleaning and Distribution Center to supplier, supplier to facility, facility to Cleaning and Distribution Center, and shipments of returnable packaging from supplier to 2nd, 3rd and 4th tier suppliers
Conduct physical audits if needed
Coach suppliers on their packaging needs, transaction grief and proactively address issues with supplier compliance under the direction of the Senior National Inventory Manager activities
Under direction of the Sr. National Inventory Manager participate physical in the audits

National Inventory Manager activities, including, but not limited to:
o Supplier on-boarding and set up
o Supplier coaching
o Information gathering and distribution
Participate in activities to develop system enhancement ideas, troubleshooting the order management system
Potential to travel within North America to participate in audits

SKILLS:

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Extremely strong collaborative, communication, and interpersonal and negotiation skills.
Knowledge of Project Management Principles
Five to seven years of experience in Customer Service, Logistics, Sales and Operations planning, and/or supply chain planning
Strong Coaching abilities
Familiarity with company manufacturing facilities, processes, and equipment
Potential Travel

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
College or university degree in Economics, Business, Marketing, Supply Chain and/or Logistics Management or Industrial Engineering
Experience in Global Purchasing, Manufacturing, Marketing or Supply Chain
Analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to creatively solve very complex problems.
Knowledge/Understanding of 6 Sigma Project Management principles
Experience in using inventory management and/or returnable packaging track and trace systems
Understanding of Corporate Demand Systems, CMOPS, MACH1, MRP, and EDS
