NACE lvl 2 Coatings Inspector

ONLY AUSTRALIAN CITIZENS NEED APPLY! Working for a well established client on a reliable project the successful candidate will need to display:

* Australian standard NACE Level 2 certification

* Experience in coatings inspection

* Marine experience preffered

* Comprehension of QA/QC procedures

The responsibilities of this role includes performing inspection activities with a project team, provide technical guidance to project staff to ensure aims and objectives are safely, effectively and economically achieved to the required quality. Perform inspection and testing of surface preparation and coating application using both non-destructive and destructive techniques and instrumentation within the corrosion protection operation. Develop written reports and condition surveys where appropriate. Conduct failure analysis on identified non-conformances. To contribute specialist knowledge to the project and promote optimal contract outcomes.

Applicants would be required to have qualifications and experience in surface preparation and coating application. NACE 2 qualifications (or equivalent) are essential and demonstrable knowledge in Quality Management disciplines would be advantageous. The applicant must be able to provide support to operations for day, afternoon and night shifts. You must be an Australian Citizen and able to obtain a Security Clearance as a requirement for Defence Industry related workplaces.

Please note: This is a flat $50-55 an hour rate based on a 80 hour fortnight plus penalties, overtime etc. There is no relocation assistance, rent assistance or FIFO option. Would best suit an Adeliade based candidate looking for a short term assingment.
