MYSQL DBA/DBA Administrator-Central London

The role:

The MySQL DBA / Database Administrator you will be responsible for improving performance and reliability of business critical systems,working with Developers (PHP & Java) to optimise schemas and queries, making the database more manageable and maintaining, implementing and automating data recovery and disaster recovery plans.

Skills required for the role of MySQL DBA / Database Administrator are:

* Good experience as a MySQL DBA / Database Administrator (5.0+)
* A strong appreciation of TB to GB migrations and scalability issues to enable growth
* A good exposure to Linux system administration and configuration management
* Ideally an appreciation of working with business critical systems and the responsibility associated with that

Any experience of RDS, Percona, Redis, Linux Debian / Ubuntu, Hadoop / HBase, InnoDB would be ideal but by no means essential as full training will be given.
