MYSQL DBA

MySQL DBA / Database Administrator / MySQL Developer (Contract)
Location: Heathrow
Rate: £300 - £400 p/day
Term: 6 months initially
Start: Immediate / ASAP

My Logistics client is seeking a Senior MySQL DBA / Database Administrator for a 6 month contract in their Heathrow office; you'll define the architectural vision and strategy for all MySQL database environments.

Responsibilities will include working with the dev team in design reviews to ensure the security, integrity and quality of the underlying data structures is maintained with each new release. You'll also develop tools and forecast capabilities as well as executing data migrations and MySQL administration (installation, configuration, backups, performance tuning.

Requirements:
* Strong MySQL experience on Linux in high volume environments
* Experience in an Agile (Scrum) and TDD environments
* MySQL development experience

Desirable:

*MS SQL 2012
