MYSQL Data Analyst/Developer

Yoh has a long term contract opportunity for a MYSQL DATA ANALYST/DEVELOPER to support our client in St. Louis, MO.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assisting design, development, and implementation of enterprise-wide Operations Support Systems (OSS) applications and their associated operating systems and databases.
- Contributes to design sessions with OSS Architects, Requirements Analysts, IT Operations and OSS Systems Engineers.
- Reviews existing integration capabilities, data sources, and proposed solution designs for feasibility, cost and functionality.
- Creates detailed design documents and functional specifications for new applications/services and for enhancements to existing systems/services.
- Creates work effort estimates for assigned tasks and support prioritization and release management.
- Develops core code modules, unit test tools and release notes for enhancements and bug fixes.
- Installs, administers, configures and maintains OSS applications including operating systems and related software.
- Works with database administrators to configure, tune and maintain databases in variety of languages.
- Documents systems configurations and upgrades.
- Designs and implements change control policies and disaster recovery plans.
- Monitors and assists in managing applications, device availability, network conditions and system reliability and performance, service and program maintenance and storage resources.
- Perform other duties as requested by supervisor.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
- Strong ability to conduct design sessions to specify solution designs for feasibility, cost, and functionality.
- Strong ability to create detailed documentation to functionally understand new and existing applications.
- Strong reporting and analytical Skills (MySQL, Oracle, Excel, Data Analytics).
- Strong documentation skills (Visio - process flows, swim lanes, etc).
- Comprehensive knowledge of MySQL or other SQL-based databases.
- Comprehensive knowledge of interpreted programming languages (Perl, PHP).
- Comprehensive knowledge of.nix-based OS (Solaris 10, Red Hat Linux Enterprise).
- Ability to manage projects for Early Field Trials.
- Strong Communication and Documentation skills.

PREFERRED JOB SKILLS/EXPERIENCE/KNOWLEDGE:
- Knowledge of compiled programming languages (Java, C++).
- Understanding of the DNS protocol.
- Experience with the BIND 9.x application.
- Understanding of the DHCP and TFTP protocols.
- Experience with the Cisco Network Registrar application.
- Understanding of the DOCSIS/PacketCable protocols.
- Experience with the Cisco BAC application suite.
- Knowledge of Apache2.
- Experience with Device Lifecycle Management concepts and practice (Device On-boarding, Off-boarding, and Supply Chain and Inventory).
