Murex Support Analyst - Major IB - HONG KONG

Our client is a market leading financial services organization with offices across the globe. They're currently in need of strong Murex support specialist to join this support team to supplement their market leading team of specialists. Due to ongoing growth of the Hong Kong office they are looking for a seasoned specialist to join the global team of 15. They are very interested in international profiles and can offer sponsorship and excellent conditions.

The team works as part of a specialist global Murex team with members located in 3 different countries around the globe. They are the first point for business and functional requirements with the Murex suite on a highly complex and multi-asset class trading system. This team is also responsible for the deployment of new releases, patches and upgrades as well as daily fault monitoring, bug fixing and deep technical support.

This is a highly specialized team that are imbedded in the trading business of this major investment bank and contribute across the trade entry trade workflow, pricing and simulation areas. This means that you will be required to take responsibility for the reports, Real Time market interface, Datamart, MXML exchange and end of day batch processes. This is a high paced, highly complex environment that will see you troubleshoot and investigate issues in the surrounding technical environment so a broad knowledge of databases (Sybase, SQL), Operating systems (UNIX), Scripting (Shell, Perl) and interfaces programming (excel, VBA) is required.

REQUIREMENTS OF THE ROLE:

- 5+ years working with Murex - V 2.10+; MXML, Datamart, MXG2000
- 5+ years working in Financial Markets - Trading Areas ideally
- Understanding of the Trade Lifecycle inc Pricing and Risk reporting
- Intimate knowledge of the Murex Reporting Framework and MXML Exchange
- Strong knowledge Unix commands
- Strong Scripting experience on Unix eg Shell or Perl Scripting
- Sybase, SQL, T-SQL Experience
- Excellent communication skills
