Murex Developer, Banking (Contract, Zurich)

For our client, one of the most instantly recognisable brands in the banking sector, Swisslinx are looking for a Murex Developer for a new 6 month contract in Zurich starting ASAP with a strong chance for extension.

MUREX DEVELOPER, BANKING (CONTRACT, ZURICH)

Scope of the role:

- Design, develop, build and integrate solutions based on Murex
- Develop core Murex functionality such as setting up deal typologies, set up user defined fields in Murex, configure trade generators and enhance the functionality of Murex using XSLT/XML, including the payment handling/netting and deliverable generation process and according events triggered within the system
- Liaise directly with the vendor for Murex bugs and deliver change requests and defect fixes on time and in quality
- Act as a point of contact for new project work initiated from upstream and downstream in regards to Murex core functionality
- Deliver on time and in quality in terms of Murex core functionality deliverables
- Work closely with support in handling any production issues.

In order to be considered for this role, you will possess the following skills and experience:

- 5 or more years of experience in the Financial Services Industry with Murex
- Good programming experience (esp. Java)
- Good SQL and database query knowledge, preferable on Oracle
- Knowledge in MxML, XML, XSLT, Scripting (Perl), SQL, Job scheduling tools and databases
- Additional skills such as knowledge of FpML or knowledge of IRD, FX derivatives are an advantage
- Able to work on multiple priorities at the same time
- Experience in working with a global, matrixed IT and Client organization
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, German is an advantage
- Experience in Investment IT would be beneficial
- Organized way of working with a strong focus on controls, process, metrics and transparency
