Multifonds Business Analyst - Large investment bank - long term contract
Excellent knowledge of Multifonds FA software is mandatory.
Our client is a leading security specialist in the financial sector in need of a Multifonds Business Analyst.
The Business Analyst takes a lead role in analysing,documenting and proposing solutions to best meet the business needs in the fund administration sector. In this context, the business analyst will carry out the following duties.
Collect and understand the business issues and needs, translate the business requirements into functional specifications which include system design elements and detailed test plans for the proposed solution, Design and execute the test scenarios and test scripts, Manage change requests related to the project plans to ensure agreed deadlines are maintained.
On a weekly basis.
Provide effective and informative progress evaluations in terms of outstanding milestones, current status, resource requirements, issues, risks and dependencies, Assist in realisation of project deadlines and schedules, Communicate effectively and facilitate team interaction, Lead internal teams and mentor those with less experience, Suggest areas for improvement in internal processes and propose solutions, Ensure that the appropriate documentation is made available for the end user and IT Support.
Experience required/expected.
Essential Skills:
proven record of analysis work on medium to large projects, with a minimum of two years related experience.
Proven record in specification writing and software development.
Good understanding of the banking sector, particularly Fund Administration and Middle Office knowledge of fund pooled structures would be an advantage.
Good knowledge of Multifonds FA software.
Good knowledge of a project management methodology eg CMMI. Practical experience using MS Project is an advantage.
Familiarity with an Oracle/Unix development environment using a standard interface tool such as Toad or SQL*Plus. Knowledge of Powerbuilder is not mandatory but would be an advantage.
Good command of French and English, both spoken and written.

Autonomy and initiative.
Excellent analysis capabilities.
Strong interpersonal and communication (spoken and written) skills.
Accomplished team player.
